Year 3

On Friday, 26th October 2018, Year 3 and the Foundation classes went to the Kyabram Fauna Park which is a zoo. We got on the bus at 9:00 o’clock. On the bus we watched a movie and we arrived at the zoo at 10:00 am. We were so excited to go inside the zoo and watch all the animals. First we had our fruit and snack and we played in the park for some time because we finished our recess early. The first animal that we saw was a koala. It was very cute and fluffy. Next we saw the kangaroos, ducks and emus. We had an education session with one of the zoo staff about some Australian animals and their lifecycles. We also got to hold some animals in our hands. After that we saw snakes, lizards, owls, some birds and spiders. Then we had our lunch and hopped on the bus and came back to school. It was a very memorable day. – Asher Baig

On Friday, 2nd November 2018, we had a science incursion at our school. Year 3 to Year 6s went inside the Art room where the incursion was set up. There were two university students who were waiting for us to start their session. We did many fun science activities related to various science concepts. I got chosen for one of the activities. I had to hit the slime very fast and see the difference between what happens if you hit it fast and slowly. When I hit it fast, it didn’t stick to my hand but when I hit it slowly, it stuck to my hand because it became loose. Then I had to pick someone else for another activity and I picked Qunoot. We also got free tickets to the Science Fair which was on 3rd November 2018, at the Shepparton Sports Stadium. – Ayesha Mansuri
